For the Mardin Biennial I turned my obsessive curiosity towards scale. Through a series of beautifully hand crafted model chairs I attempted to capture the history and traditions of the civilizations of the Mardin region (from the Romans to the Modern Republic), creating a circular forum and a space for a dialogue that united the epochs in the contemporary space.

I also attended a short residency in Mardin where I worked alongside local crafts people, creating the final table for this work from scraps recycled from the workshop waste.
